Arizona Wins is the Arizona affiliate coalition of America Votes. America Votes is the national coordination hub of the progressive community. America Votes and its affiliates lead collaborative efforts among a diverse coalition of more than 400 state and national partner organizations to advance progressive policies, win elections, and protect every American's right to vote.
Arizona Wins provides a range of services to our coalition partners, including strategic planning, advocacy and electoral campaign coordination, data tools and targeting services, connection to a national community of funders and allies, and on-the-ground leadership. Arizona Wins’ coalition partners advocate for a broad range of issues including, but not limited to, Latino community organizing and voter engagement, voting rights, public education, human and civil rights, women's choice, environmental protection, labor, worker’s rights and economic justice.
Position Description
The Field Director will oversee the largest statewide field program in Arizona, in an exciting year with a full ballot. Arizona is on the cusp of change, and this program is built to engage the electorate needed to engage communities and build the electorate needed to win in 2018. The program covers the entire state, including urban, suburban, and rural areas, and focuses on engaging communities in issues they care about and activating them to not only vote but engage with our partner organizations as activists. The program is executed by 5 partner organizations, and the Field Director will oversee the operations of the entire program, across partners. The Field Director will plan, manage, and direct the entire field infrastructure of the table, including managing relationships with table partners, supporting partners in field planning, holding partners accountable to goals, and working with data manager to organize reporting. The Field Director reports to the Executive Director.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience ranging from $55,000-$70,000 per year. Benefits include health, dental, vision and 401k.

Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a comprehensive, data-driven field plan that includes input from field partners
- Train and support field director, or equivalent, within partner organizations to execute the field plan
- Motivate field staff to perform and meet weekly goals
- Set, meet, and exceed metrics for direct voter contact, digital, text, and field integration and engagement, and GOTV
- Design and standardize best practices for data management using Grassroots Unwired, VAN, Hustle and excel
- Establish a strong professional culture within the field program and coalition that focuses on accountability, goal-hitting metrics, utilization of best practices, engagement, and sense of purpose
- Manage the field program’s budget and logistics in collaboration with Executive Director
Qualifications Required:
- At least two cycles of field experience, preferably being at least a Regional Field Director, Digital Director, Data Director, or having targeting/data experience.
- Experience managing and training high performing staff
- Experience with and ability to train on electoral databases
- Experience setting up canvasses and managing paid field
- Ability to design, maintain and improve a goal-oriented accountability structure
- Strong understanding of coalition work
- Understanding of voter penetration and micro-targeting
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet recruitment and voter contact goals
- Strong cultural competence with communities of color and experience working with diverse groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent deadlines
- Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Experience working with a coalition
- Access to reliable transportation
