WE ARE HIRING!
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
ABOUT ICONICO
Iconico was established to build advocacy capacity with organizations. We believe that advocates should continuously improve their organizing craft, execute bolder ideas, learn new tactics to engage and mobilize supporters, and become better managers of people and campaigns.

We are currently looking for a Research Associate with excellent writing skills and attention to detail for a contract gig. We want to partner with someone to help us develop an asset-map for hubs of Latino entrepreneurship around the country, and identify the reasons why this community receives less capital investments than other populations. We are looking for someone who can easily relate with others, and is experienced facilitating group conversations. The perfect candidate would be someone who leads, or has participated in research projects, preferably someone open to identifying new ways of engaging communities, and has a strong work ethic.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research Methodology: Develop a project framework for research methodology, data collection and analysis. The responsibilities will include interviewing national leaders in the education space, philanthropic communities, and national organizations supporting Latino entrepreneurs. The contract will also demand some travel, and facilitation of in-person community dialogues in targeted cities. The final product will be a written report that will be developed in partnership with client, and Iconico’s leadership.
  • Project Management: Assist with project management, tracking deliverables, backwards planning, internal communication and client interaction.
  • Event Planning Support: Support the execution of logistics and agendas for in-person community dialogues, including securing locations and dates, sending out invitations, and facilitating conversations.
  • Reporting: Weekly written progress reports, and monthly step-back reports will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong communications skills, principally written and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience developing and implementing research projects.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment establishing priorities and meeting project goals.
  • This position will require both creativity as well as a willingness to provide administrative support if and when needed.

TO APPLY
This is a temporary full-time time role from April 1-October 31, 2018 at approximately 30-35 hours/week on average, with fixed pay of $2,800/month and no benefits. It is a GREAT learning opportunity and we will provide a desk at Co+Hoots in Phoenix, an amazing co-working space to help you build a network.

To apply, please send a resume and a short video about why you are the right person for this job to luis@iconico.io
