CHISPA /

LCV

CHISPA Arizona is a program based within the League of Conservation Voters working to build advocacy capacity and lead efforts towards environmental justice within the state’s Latinx population. Iconico coached the Organizing Director on team management and accountability for effective organizing planning and campaigning. We also worked closely with the newly appointed Executive Director on best practices for coaching and management of the organizing team.

OUR STRATEGY.

Our work began with a discovery process including interviewing the Executive Director and working to identify the inhibitors of supporter growth, we were able to identify an organizing culture that was very effective in the past, but was not keeping meeting the needs and habits of the community as it is today. We also identified a need to better leverage data and tools available to organizers.

OUR EXECUTION.

Working in conjunction with the Executive Director and the Organizing Director through weekly coaching sessions, we assisted the organization in establishing a more solid engagement model with clear standards of performance for each field organizer. We drafted internal communications and reporting tools for accountability and metrics of success for organizing practices. We also trained the staff on incorporating data into their day-to-day decision-making, forecasting, and strategic planning.

OUR RESULTS.

The client is currently working off of a simplified engagement model that eliminated unnecessary tags that muddled the data. Metrics were incorporated into check-ins at all levels of the local organization as well as comparisons of soft and hard reporting using the tools created.
